I just recently finished watching my boxed set of the Princess Tutu anime, and I fell in love with the series. For an anime with such a fluffy-sounding title, it really is a wonderful series that can appeal to a pretty large spectrum of anime fans.

One thing I've noticed, however, is there really aren't a lot of AMVs that have Fakir as the central character. Sure, there's tons in which he's shown paired up with Duck (Ahiru), but very few that focus the majority of the time on him. So I decided to change that. I chose the song I used in this AMV almost by accident; it's on my iPod, and it played while my iPod was in Shuffle mode as I drove to the hospital where I intern at.

Anyway, this was a fun video to make, micro-edits aside. It's the first one to be made using Adobe Premiere Elements 4, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I do apologize for any quality issues with this upload, as I had to make the original file pretty small (it started out around the 2 Gig mark!), and I hope the compression doesn't affect the quality too adversely. If anyone can offer suggestions for how to better compress this, please drop me a line and let me know.

Anyway, if I recall more to add in here, I'll edit this section accordingly. I hope you all enjoy! thanks for looking!

Story: Sakura takes a fatal hit for Kabuto, despite being enemies but for the sake of their past. He remembers their past, and wishes that he could rewind his life to prevent her from getting hurt...by the hit and by himself.

Yes, I know it's not the full song. It's planned out that way. The video is done; I don't plan on making a video to the full song.

Info
-----

After my previous vid, I wanted to make something different. Something like Gods of War, but better than that.
I just wanted to focus on the song's lyrics and follow the mood, better beat-sync, and use a lot less FX then in DD (Mostly I tried to use the "original effects" that are in the series), instead of following even the original storyline, but it's still not just random scenes (I hope because sometimes I still suck at scene selection -_-).
I think the song's lyrics fits well the anime and it's not something like "what you hear is what you see", so the most parts of the lyric-sync only makes sense if you've seen the series (at least the first season).

I started making this in the beggining of May, and I could've finished it sooner, but there were some real life stuff in the way (exams, work and stuff...).
The only connection between the title and a certain Helloween song is that I was listening to FH when I thought it might be good for the title of this AMV. :)
So finally, I really like the outcome and I can say that this is my favourite of all my vids.

Software used: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop

Thanks to Kaxi for beta testing and for the advices.

Song's lyrics
--------------

"I close my eyes so I don't have to see
I shut my heart and tell my mind to run and flee

Once I was flying high
I touched the sky

As Long As I Fall
I don't hit the ground
As Long As I Fall
I'm safe and sound
As long as I fly
I sure cannot die
I don't need to hear the call
As Long As I Fall

Would I have time to change reality
I would become the man
The man I could never be

Oh my God please tell me
How to break free
Once I was flying high
I touched the sky

As Long As I Fall
I don't hit the ground
As Long As I Fall
I'm safe and sound
As long as I fly
I sure cannot die
I don't need to hear the call
As Long As I Fall

As Long As I Fall
I got no reason to care
As Long As I Fall
I got no problem to bear
I don't need to bother what I did or did not
I would cry out in pain, but:

As Long As I Fall
I don't hit the ground
As Long As I Fall
I'm safe and sound
I don't need to face
No blame or disgrace
No reason to change at all
As Long As I Fall
I don't hit the ground
As Long As I Fall
I'm safe and sound
As long as I fly
I sure cannot die
I don't need to hear the call
As Long As I Fall"

The LOCAL version is encoded in H264/mp4 format. Maybe I'll make a direct link to an Xvid version, as soon as I make one...

This is an AMV I made with the one girl who's always trying to get Sakaki, I made this with the song "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life" from Family Guy: Blue Harvest because I thought that Old man Herbert was like Kaorin in a way among ways, so there you go and enjoy

I'm a die-hard Final Fantasy fan, mostly the FF 7 series to FF 9, and decided to make a video out of a couple of beloved couples. ^^

I'm a die-hard fan of Zack and Vincent, but since all of my DoC FMVs are no longer on my compy, I stuck with the pairs from Crisis Core and FF8: Squall x Rinoa and Zack/Aerith/Cloud. Please Enjoy~

I did this for my Avid class final project. I wanted to try something simple with either straight cuts or basic transitions and also to try and do something instrumental. I ended up having to change the ending of the game to have the video make sense to my class, none of them had played the game. I hope you like it; it's one of my first attempts to use the Avid system.

Alright Guys....this is my first Fan Trailer. I had a hard time finding decent footage for this game, and thus the original source file didn't look that great, but I cleaned it up as best as I could. The footage used is from:

Footage: Dissidia Final Fantasy

And the audio is from the new Prince of Persia trailer.

I hope you all enjoy. I plan to make better fan trailers in the future. Thanks for your time, and I hope you enjoy.

This video pretty much tells the story of the wolves and Cheza, with an emphasis on Kiba, who is the "wayward son." The ending of the vid is different than the series, however, which is why I didn't check the spoiler tag.
Carry On Wayward Son (there is no "My" in the title) has something of a split personality; on one hand the instrumental riffs, which probably occupy at least half the song's length, are pure 70's rock numbers. A guy I used to know, who was a teen when this song came out, described this as a party song. They probably weren't listening to the lyrics, since those aim to be deep and philosophical. Just trying to find imagery to half-way fit them was a challenge, much less trying to integrate them with the imagery of the riff portions. Whether that integration, or lack thereof, matters much depends upon the viewer.
There are two versions of the vid available; the Local download simply has the song, while the Direct, extended version contains prologue and epilogue scenes which contain the title and credit info, but more importantly serve to emphasize the vid's theme of searching for paradise, as well as a touching message from Cheza at the end.
I'd recommend getting the Local version, and if you like the vid, view the extended version at least once, for the touching scene at the end if nothing else. Forum thread.

Video notes: The vid had a surprising amount of noise and banding when I rendered the mp4. I tried several different combinations of filters, and finally settled on one which still contains some noise and banding in certain scenes, epecially night scenes, but doesn't lose hardly any detail.
It also makes a big difference upon which player you view the vid. My default is the KMplayer, which I recommend. Compared to it, the VLC player had richer colors, but at the cost of significantly increased noise and color banding.

Audio notes: The song starts out loud, so to get the song at its richest, it should actually sound a little too loud at the beginning. Just bear it out until that first chorus is over with.
For the extended version, the show audio is a bit too loud, too. I managed to get things balanced for the master copy, but when I rendered the mpeg I found that the listener would have to turn off the normalizer setting on their player, and then the portions which I had lowered in volume sounded way too low, so I just decided to normalize the mpeg and give you a heads-up on these relatively minor issues.

If the video won't play, get this codec pack.
